Abstract

The paper is linked to the broader scope of an ongoing research project which aims at analyzing the meanings of the labor-education relationship presupposed in the realm of official inclusive training programs like the one known as PROJOVEM. The particular segment presented herein attempts to place the current social movements in the context of capital structural crisis (Mészáros), putting, moreover, the so called new social movements (NMS) under the scrutiny of the ontological Marxist critique. In this sense, it notices that, on an ordinary basis, the State takes the NMS as partners in the implementation of public policies, such as the above mentioned one, which brings about a de-politization, so to say, of social struggle. Based upon Marxian Lukacsian ontology, it reaffirms that man undergoes his search for freedom through his own actions, only being able of doing so, in view of the fact that his activity already contains, as a necessary constituent part, a moment of freedom. In conclusion, it defends the battle towards socialism, in order to break apart with the current social order, a most difficult but not fruitless task.
