Abstract

Post-modernism represents an efficient ideological tool in the restructuring process undergone by the capital system in face of a crisis which has been established since the last half of the XXth Century. In this context moreover, the setting back of the radical critique to capitalism opened up the route for the emergence and acceptance of an array of theories that only pseudo-question the status quo, the whole time, however, supporting the current ideological interests. The present article focuses upon one of these theories, which is centered around the concept of complex thinking, as announced by Edgar Morin as the foundation for a much needed social reform for the XXIst Century. The discussion is based upon the perspective of Marxian ontology. In addition, it searches the most suitable contributions of the researchers Sokal & Bricmont, who denounce with great competence, the post modern epistemic nonsense in the field of physical as well as social sciences.
