UMA ABORDAGEM ONTOLÓGICA DA EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL NO CEARÁ DOS TEMPOS DE COLÔNIA

Abstract

This article seeks to study how the teaching of trades occurred during the Brazilian colonial period (1500-1822) in what was then captaincy of Ceará. In this contexto, the work aims to identify how education constituted a means of excluding workers not only from their tools of the trade, but also from control of their time, their behavior, and their life plans. Through a historical search of bibliographic and documentary sources, analyzed following the metod of Lawrence Bardin (2016), the study is based on Lukács’s ontology (2013) as theoretical-methodological paradigm. Referencing authors such as Farias (2015), Studart (2001), and Vilela (2017), the article sought historical sources that could support the defended assumption.
