EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF CAPITAL: AN ONTOLOGICAL STUDY
Keywords:
Education, Technology, OntologyAbstract
This work, through a literature review, aims to establish the role of technology in a society marked by the contradictions of capital, as well as education, which has been losing its ontological meaning to meet the dictates of the labor market, also assuming a contradictory character: while universalizing schooling, it reproduces inequalities. To this end, it was necessary to resort to basic concepts of marxist/lukácsian ontology in order to understand labor as a founding category of social being, responsible for bringing to life secondary complexes such as education and also technology, highlighting their ontological dependence and relative autonomy. From the articulation of these concepts, it was concluded that technology is part of the evolution of humankind and was important for developing skills to modify nature according to needs; however, in a contradictory system like capitalism, technologies are used to reinforce contrasts and maintain the privileges of the dominant class.
