Abstract

This study aimed to analyze and synthesize the theoretical and conceptual landscape regarding the importance of Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education. The research adopted a Bibliographic Review methodology using a combination of descriptors in Portuguese and English. Articles, dissertations, and theses published in the last ten years (2015-2025) that were directly relevant to the central theme were selected. The literature review showed that the inclusion of EE in Early Childhood Education is crucial for holistic development, promoting the awakening of innate curiosity and the formation of a connection with nature and the adoption of sustainable habits.
